In the beginning of July I was privileged enough to be invited to the very first ever, Raw Photo Design Workshop, given by Eric Langlois of Raw Photo Design.
The day was filled with radness and über fantastic tips…..the main one being…FIND THE LIGHT! After shooting with Eric all last year, I’ve become use to his craziness and the “fly by the seat of your pants-make it work” shooting style that he possesses. Don’t just do it, do it until you kill it, and then kill it one more time for good measure. And in true Raw Photo Design fashion, Amber and Eric both killed it. Not only with Eric giving us his time, and skillz (something that he doesn’t have to do, but if you know Eric even a little, you know he’s a giver) and Amber completely rocking the camera for us (something we all know is a photographer’s dream). Lisa and Dan also completely rocked things, with their charming good looks and personalities.
It’s no secret to anyone that I completely *heart* Eric and Amber, and I could go on for days and days about how much fun I had, and the kind of people they are, but…….I guess you guys will all have to get in line for the next workshop to find out!

There is a metric ass whack (yes that is a redneck term which means :a lot) of photo goodness here

This past weekend Joe and I (and the gremlins) went to Rhode Island with some friends for the weekend. We camped, went to the beach, and watched fireworks on the beach.
It was a completely relaxing vacation from the fast past life that we have had lately. It was awesome. I took my camera out a few times to take some shots. Introducing, for the first time on the blog, Cole (also nicknamed Bean) and Luke. Cole was a complete ham the whole time so there are lots of shots of him.
Thanks Brian and Megan for inviting us…..we had a blast!!!!
Here is Luke and Cole on the beach

A moment I snagged of Joe and Noah Bean.

Colie Bean showing me his ninja skillzzzzz.

I LOVE this shot of Cole running towards me on the beach. That’s his dad, Brian in the background.

Cole had this really cool fishing pole with a fake fish on the end. Many a battle between Cole and Noah over this thing, but Cole shared like a true gentleman. Notice Noah still eye balling the goods…..LOL

This is the only shot I could grab of Luke and Branndon where their faces weren’t glued to DS’s.

NOAH BEAN!!!!!

Cole showing off his fishing pole again. This is serious business to him. Takes after his papa a bit there!

Shots of the boys on the beach with sparklers.

Allison and Doug were married on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in June. The ceremony and reception were held at Indian Hill Country Club in Newington CT. I met Allison and Doug for the first time only 6 days prior to their wedding and immediately realized they were very special people. They have a classic love that is fun and you can tell when you are around them that they are the best of friends. Here are a few of my favorite moments from the day.
A big thank you to Val McCormick for second shooting for me
Here is Allison getting ready. Normally a jeans and t-shirt kinda girl, she wanted to make sure her make up and dress reflected that part of her personality.

This is Allison’s mom placing her veil on in the same mirror where Allison’s Grandmother had placed her veil on her wedding day.

Some more details!

Allison, looking stunning!!!!!!

Here is Doug’s face as soon as he saw Allison at the end of the isle with her father. This is a favorite moment of mine at every ceremony.

The first kiss!!!!

A moment in between some portraits when Doug and Allison were just enjoying the moment.

The first dance……

I love Doug’s face in this shot. I have lots of nice sweet pictures, but I thought this one showed a bit of his fun loving personality!

Allison dancing with her father.

Finally a bit of fun to be had!

One of the flower girls just taking it all in!

Some sweet dancing shots!

And of course, the ring. I love the fact that Allison’s engagement ring is so different.
