That’s right…I’m catching up on my blogging! Yes, I know. It’s a terrible thing. But I had a crazy year, and the blog suffered. That’s really all there is. So….I’ve decided to remedy that! Over the next few weeks I will be cranking out all the beautiful brides and grooms that have crossed my path over this last season. First up……
Beth and Matt were married this summer with an amazing tented reception that followed at The Brandford House in Groton CT! These two are so stinking cute!!! Obviously I think all of my couples are cute, but Beth has this infectious laugh and almost always laughs with an open mouth. One of my favorite things!!!! Their wedding was joyous and grand, just like most of the weddings I shoot, but Beth really killed it with the details, and these two made sure all of the vendors they put together would work to complete their vision of their wedding day. Attention to detail is key and Beth & Matt truly did a great job in that department!!!
A big thank you to Dorian Patrick for assisting me on this one!
So of course we start out with getting ready and some of the details. Spending the time with my brides while they are getting ready is one of my favorite parts of the day. You can feel all the emotion and the anticipation building and it can get super intense sometimes! I love being surrounded by all the excitement and girlieness!!!!
Some shots from Dorian of what Matt and the guys were up to.
Matt and Beth exchanged gifts the morning of…..
I love the shot below that Dorian got of Matt seeing Beth for the first time.
Of course on a hot July day you want ice cream!!! Matt and Beth arranged for this ice cream truck to treat everyone to a nice soft serve cone of their choice!
Then we headed over to The Branford House for some formal shots! I love the pink and blue color combination that Beth picked out!
Cocktail hour was amazing! Complete with yard games, homemade wine, an amazing tent (I was obsessed with the flags blowing in the wind all day) and a ton of personalized details Beth had made with photos from their engagement session in Boston!
Here Dorian got a few awesome shots of the introductions!
BESt CAKE CUTTING EVER!!!! I just loved it. I didn’t see it coming. And honestly, for a wedding photographer….sometimes being all nice just gets old! When these guys made their move-at the same time- I can’t even explain how excited I got!!!
and of course no BTL wedding blog post is complete without some dance shots!
