Nora & Tyler: Engagement Session; Boston, MASS

Meet Nora and Tyler!

Joe and I had the pleasure of hanging out with these two this past weekend in Boston and we had so much fun!!!!  We met them at their apartment outside of Boston and commuted into the city.  From there we headed into Boston Commons and then unto Newbury Street.

Nora and Tyler are two of the sweetest people I have ever met.  So down to earth and REAL!  I could tell from the moment I met Nora that she is a very nurturing and considerate person.  Always quick to offer help and check in that you are alright!  Tyler is also very in tune with Nora and I saw throughout the day how he constantly made sure that she was OK.  We started the day outside of their apartment with their two little dogs Lily and Tiny Tim.  I have to say I warned Nora right away that she was going to have to frisk me before I left because little Tiny Tim was ALL ME!!!!  He is so freaking cute!  Nora and Tyler got Lily first, but then adopted Tiny Tim after he had an unfortunate situation and had no home.  Lily is an awesome big sister to him and has shown him the ropes of how to be a puppy! We began the session in the park across from their apartment with the puppies.

This is a really good post for me to point out that sometimes, what you see here on the blog, is not necessarily how it started.  There is a reason we do an engagement session, and this exact post is a good one to use to point out why….

You can tell from the beginning photos how uncomfortable Nora was in front of the camera.  PDA and the whole thing….but I never gave up on her….I started out far away and then moved in a little closer….slowly asking her to give me a little bit more craziness, until finally…..BAM!!!!  She was sitting in the middle of the side walk on Newbury Street (Yes, smack dab in the middle) completely surrounded by 100 people and thinking of nothing else except Tyler…..BOOM! That’s how we roll people

I loved it!!!  I loved watching the transition and at the end of the day…she new I was in it for the long haul.  I wasn’t just going to give up on her!  So for those of you who have a session with me coming up…..my camera will find you and bring it out.  It’s what I do!!! We have an engagement session so that when i show up on your wedding day, we don’t have to take a bunch of stiff impersonal pictures.  We already know each other, and more importantly…you are already comfortable in front of my camera.

Thank you Nora and Tyler for letting Joe and I into your home and into your hearts! We had such a great time getting to know you both and can’t wait to watch you two begin your lives in marriage!!!!
